FAQs

How much does it cost?

We’re transparent about how our pricing works, though for your exact cost we recommend giving us a call, since it depends on your insurance and specific situation. Visit our Pricing & Insurance page for the full breakdown, or call our Billing Director directly at (623) 745-4577 ext. 704.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. We’re currently in-network and out-of-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield Arizona and Aetna, and we’re actively pursuing full in-network contracting with both plans this year. We also work with other major insurance providers. You can start a verification of benefits yourself, or we’re happy to do it for you.

Do you accept CareCredit?

Yes, CareCredit is accepted to help make care accessible.

When is payment due?

A registration fee is due at your first appointment and is non-refundable. Full payment is due by 34 weeks. Payment plans are available from the start of your care.

What is included in the package?

All prenatal visits, labor and delivery, postpartum and newborn visits, childbirth education classes, the newborn screen, and all consults are included. Labs, ultrasounds, and IVs are billed separately.

Are ultrasounds included?

Ultrasounds are not included in the base package but can be billed to insurance. We have an ultrasound suite on-site with a large screen so your whole family can see your baby together.

Do you do home births?

Yes. We serve a 25-mile radius for home births. Births outside that radius are available for an additional fee.

Will you take me if I have a health condition?

We evaluate each client individually. Call us, we’ll have an honest conversation about whether we’re the right fit for your care needs.

Do you support VBAC, twins, or breech births?

Every pregnancy is unique, and these situations call for a conversation specific to your circumstances. Please contact us directly to discuss your situation and find out what’s possible for your care.

How many people can attend the birth?

There’s no hard cap, but we guide clients toward a small, intentional support team. From experience, large groups can affect the progress of labor. Most clients bring a partner, a family member, or a doula.

How long can I stay after birth?

Postpartum stays are typically 2-4 hours. Clients may stay longer if needed, but not beyond 24 hours per state regulations.

What hospital do you transfer to?

Our hospital privileges are at Banner University Medical Center in downtown Phoenix, and that’s where we go for planned hospital births and non-emergency transfers.

For births at our birth center, Banner Thunderbird is 5 minutes away and is our emergency transfer location if immediate care is ever needed.

For home births, we transfer to the nearest appropriate hospital to you, since that location depends on where you live. We’ll talk through what that looks like for your specific address as part of your care.

Do you accept AHCCCS / Access?

We offer a discount to AHCCCS patients paying cash. We’re currently pursuing full AHCCCS participation, contact us for the most current status.
